After the Launch: Project Management for Web Sites

Session: Project Management After the Launch

The full day workshop will involve participants in a variety of hands-on exercises, sharing of ideas and discussion of case-studies that will help them identify and understand the key issues in relation to managing a web site after it has been launched. Practical advice and solutions will be given that participants will be able to implement in their organisations as soon as they return from the conference.

What are the most effective management structures for maintaining a site? What are the best techniques for updating the contents and evaluating it? How can the site make money? How to go about re-inventing your site will be covered, including how to identify what new features to include, drafting a development brief, tendering for developers and managing the new development. The final issue to be covered will be marketing your site - techniques, hints and tips.

A handbook will be provided to participants that will include template documents and spreadsheets, notes where appropriate, reference web sites and check-lists.
