Session: Group Critique 2

Three art museums, including two devoted to the works of single artists, have volunteered to have their web sites critqued. The Norman Rockwell Museum (US) and Van Gogh Museum (The Netherlands) join with a general art museum of worldwide renown, the Rijksmuseum (The Netherlands), to find out what makes theirs a successful, or less than fully successful, web presentation. In this session, the "Critics Panel", Prof. Larry Friedlander (Stanford University Learning Lab), and Peter Samis (San Francisco Museum of Modern Art) will hear what the designers intended and then ask the hard questions, make suggestions, give praise and propose alternatives. The audience will be encouraged to give its views as well.
