Billie Jones, Assistant Professor of Humanities and Writing and Penn State University-Captial College, received her M.A. and Ph.D. in English from Bowling Green State University, where she specialized in rhetoric and writing. Her research interests are in Holocaust texts--her master's thesis dealt with Holocaust narrative and her dissertation was a rhetorical analysis of the text of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Currently, she is working on an edited collection on the rhetoricity of memorials. This paper combines her interest in rhetoric, Holocaust museums, and web-based communication to demonstrate how the rhetorical concept of identification can be applied to web-based historical museum exhibits.

Billie will present Employing Identification in Online Museums
