Dr. Davies has been the Executive Director of Museums Alberta, the voice of Alberta's over 200 museums and historic sites and their staff and volunteers, since January 1987. Prior to this she was the Science, Technology, Industry and Material Culture editor of The Canadian Encyclopedia, the Province of Alberta's major 75th anniversary project. She has also worked for the University of Alberta, Faculty of Extension, in the development of curriculum for the Local Government and Public Administration programs. She represented the interests of museums and heritage in the Museum Industry Consultation process launched by the Hon. Pat Black, Minister of Tourism.
