Bonnie came to the NEH in 1976 looking for a temporary job while enrolled as a graduate student in music at Catholic University (following a BA in Theatre from the University of Delaware). She liked the humanities so much, she made NEH her professional home. For most of her career at NEH, Bonnie worked in the Challenge Grants Program, and from 1992-1995 she was a Program Officer in the Reference Materials Program within the Division of Research Programs. In 1995 she came to NEH's Division of Public Programs to work on the Special Competition for a National conversation on American Pluralism and Identity. Since then Bonnie has become Senior Program Officer for Special Projects, the area within the Division for innovative projects that don't fit the traditional program areas, and, as such, is the home for

projects using websites as the primary or sole medium for reaching a broad, out-of-school public audiences.

Bonnie will participate in a Your tax dollars at work: Federal funding sources for US museum web projects
