Ann Hill Duin is Vice Provost for Instructional Technology and University Partnerships and a Professor of Scientific and Technical Communication at the University of Minnesota. Her over 60 publications include books and journal articles on the design of online learning environments and distance education research. Honors include Best Curriculum Innovation in the Teaching of Writing from EDUCOM, IBM AS/400 University Partners Development Award, Distinguished Teaching Award at the University of Minnesota, Distinguished Alumni Award from Waldorf College, and outstanding article awards from EDMEDIA and the National Council of Teachers of English. Beginning July 2000, Dr. Hill Duin will be Associate Provost and Director of Extended and Continuing Education at Iowa State University where she will lead distance education initiatives.

Ann will demonstrate Virtual Museum of Minerals and Molecules
