Ana Gabriela Saenz finished her architectural studies at Costa Rica University in 1993. After working with important architects and developing some private and individual projects, she decided to research new possibilities and new roles in design by uniting photography and computer programs. Since 1989 she has had opportunity to assist at ICAM Congress and take some courses in communication and Cultural Tourism. At the same time she has visited important museums around the world to improve her skills in art exhibitions . Some of this work has won her awards. She is now working on three different projects: a Sculpture Garden consisting of 25 large pieces of marble, stone and steel; a Museum for the Blind at a rail station; and a Virtual Space where people can learn inside and outside the museum. In 1996, she won the prize of the Costa Rican chapter of ICOMOS.
