Kevin Sumption has worked for over eight years as both a science and social history curator. He is currently the national project manager of Australian Museums On-Line and Curator of Information Technology at the Powerhouse Museum. He is also a lecturer in Design History and Theory and Research Methodology at the University of Technology, Sydney. For many years Kevin developed and managed the Powerhouse Museum's computer-based education programs and has also published a number of texts on computer aided design, computer animation and desk top publishing. He has just finished working on the exhibition "Universal Machine", which examines the origins, meaning and impact of contemporary information technology. He has also just completed his Masters of Arts at the University of Sydney, where he has been examining the legacy of traditional museum based education on the design and delivery of on-line museum teaching and learning programs.

Kevin will present Meta-centers: do they work and what might the future hold. A case study of Australian Museums On-line.
