Jane Bowen is the Head of Curatorial Services at the River & Rowing Museum, Henley-on-Thames, England. Previously she has worked at Cogges Manor Farm Museum and the Oxfordshire Photographic Archive (both run by Oxfordshire County Council). Before that she was a curator at the Science Museum in London, where she was involved with the exhibitions Challenge of the Chip and This is IT, curatorial work on the computing collections. Inter alia, she was seconded to help set up the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television, Bradford, UK. She holds an MA degree in Metallurgy and Science of Materials from Oxford University.
