Jim Spadaccini is the founder of Ideum (www.ideum.com), a multimedia design and production company which specializes in educational and museum Web sites. Before that he was Director of Interactive Media at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. He was the major contributor to, lead designer, and manager of the three-time Webby Award winning Exploratorium Web site (Best Science Site 1997-99). While at the Exploratorium, his department was responsible for developing educational Web resources and interactive exhibits for the museum floor. For his work at the Exploratorium, Jim received a Smithsonian Computerworld Award (1999) and an Association of Science and Technology Centers Award for Innovation (2000). In 1995, Jim worked with Apple Computers, where he authored a book, two CD-ROMS, and an educational Web site. Along with developing educational Web resources, Jim has been teaching Internet and Multimedia classes at San Francisco State since 1994.
