Mary Anne Smith is a TAG (gifted education) and Latin teacher at Riverwood High School in Fulton County, Georgia. She previously taught Latin at Westlake High School, also in Fulton County. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1967 with a BA in Latin. She is currently working on her Masters degree in Educational Psychology/Gifted Education at the University of Connecticut. As a gifted education specialist she endeavors to utilize the latest technology in her classes. She earned two staff development units for her participation in the oral history workshop in October (2002) at The Atlanta History Center, and she plans to incorporate the education technology gleaned from that course in her spring seminar, 2003.
