Using the Web to Support and Document New Media CollaborationJ. Karen Parker, Banff Centre, BNMI, Canada Session: New Media / Art The Banff New Media Institute's endeavours often involve collaborations with artists at other institutions. Historically, such artistic collaborations were restricted mainly to telephone communication and in-person visits. However, with the increasing pervasiveness of the Internet, there are many more options and opportunities to connect with artists from around the world. This paper presents case studies of two such collaborations, both involving the use of on-line Web communities. |
