J. Karen ParkerWork Study Karen is a computer scientist with interests in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Computer-Supported Co-operative Work (CSCW). She earned her Master's degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada where she was a member of the EDGE Lab (Exploring Dynamic Groupware Environments). Her current work at the Banff New Media Institute focuses on the support of new media collaboration and gives her the opportunity to merge her technological know-how with her love of the arts. She has recently been accepted into the University of British Columbia's PhD program, where she plans to continue her collaboration research in September 2005. Karen will present Using the Web to Support and Document New Media Collaboration. |
