This demonstration will illustrate the use of a Virtual Reality concept "The Empty Musum" designed to be used for museums and interpretation centers that is currently part of the Galicia Dixital permanent exhibition in Santiago de Compostela (Spain). The demostration will show the Empty Museum website, play some videos, and use a head mounted display to experience in a genuine immersive virtual reality environment some of the virtual worlds being displayed in the exhibition, and those prepared for the future Center of Interpretation of pre-roman culture in San Cibrian de Las (Spain).

The installation called "The Empty Museum" can be described as a virtual reality room, empty of real objects but full of interactive contents floating in the virtual space that sourrounds the user. Those contents can only be seen when the visitor wears a backpack and a HMD. Once thus equipped, the visitor to the museum can walk freely in this space, enjoying this fully immersive educational experience.
