MW2007 featured many different opportunities to meet– and learn from– professional peers and to build your personal network.

There were Pre-conference Tours, the Welcome Reception, Exhibitors' Reception, Birds of a Feather Breakfast, the Conference Reception and the Closing Reception.

There were formal Sessions and less formal Interactions throughout the conference; Pre-Conference Workshops on April 11, 2007 offered more structured learning environments.

Throughout the conference a room is set aside for you to check your e-mail, and for speakers to test their presentations. Please give speakers priority access to the computers provided. WiFi access is available throughout the hotel.

Pre-Conference Tours

The day before the Pre-Conference Workshops, cultural and educational institutions and multimedia developers in the San Francisco Bay-area team up to provide attendees at MW2007 with behind-the-scenes tours of some of the most interesting new media programs around. Tours are a great chance to share experiences with other delegates in an informal environment. Take a Pre-Conference Tour on April 10, 2007.

  Museums of San Jose [FULL]
Visit the museums of San Jose, including the Tech Museum of Innovation, San Jose Museum of Art and the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose. Discussions will focus on new media and interactive technologies.
 

UC Berkeley Tour [FULL]
Spend the day on the University of California, Berkeley Campus, and visit the Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive, the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology and The Bancroft Library. Highlights will include archival and collection imaging, and digital special collection projects.

  Museums of San Francisco [FULL]
The museums of San Francisco, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Exploratorium and the de Young Museum will host a behind-the-scenes tour of their multimedia facilities and programs.
