Nicoletta Di Blas graduated in Classics and obtained a PhD in Linguistic Sciences by the Catholic University of Milan. She currently teaches Communication Theory by the Politecnico di Milano (Como campus). She also teaches Communication for Cultural Heritage by the University of Lugano (Switzerland), at the TEC-CH (Technology Enhanced Communication for Cultural Heritage) masters course. Her research interests focus on the application of linguistic theories to Human Computer Interaction (with its outcomes on accessibility and usability issues), and on the educational aspects related to online shared 3D worlds. Cultural Heritage is the major field of application of both streams of research. In more than 5 years of cooperation with the HOC laboratory of Politecnico di Milano she has participated as responsible of the educational/ cultural strategy of several projects (museum applications, shared 3D worlds for schools, online courses).
