Since graduating with a first class degree in Fine Art, Charlotte has spend the intervening years honing her skills in the field of New Media. This medium has provided her with ample opportunities to marry her extensive creative abilities, enquiring mind, and sharp communication skills, and has resulted in the successful creation of several award-winning projects. She has worked with an impressive array of clients during her career as a freelance interaction designer; working for a broad range of organisations such as the British Film Institute, the BBC, Channel 4 and the British Library, through to arts institutions such as the ICA and the Horniman Museum. She finally hung up her freelance gloves when she set-up her own company in the late nineties, where she took on the directorship of Republic Ltd. Charlotte has gone on to lead the New Media department at the National Gallery, London. Since joining the Gallery her objective has been to implement a strategic approach that will successfully enable it to lead the field in its use of digital media. Her primary goal has always been to ensure that the Gallery’s digital presence successfully enables its diverse audience to be enthralled and delighted by its world-class collection.
