Shirley is Manager, Web Resources for Te Ara – The Encyclopedia of New Zealand at the Ministry for Culture and Heritage. Prior to joining the Encyclopedia project she worked for the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography managing the research and gathering of images to enhance the publication of the series online. Shirley has Masters in History from the University of Waikato.
