Degree in Egyptian Archaeology 1986, AMA 1993. Head of Museums Service in East Lothian, Scotland since 1994, having previously worked at what is now National Museums Liverpool as a social history curator. A long-standing interest in playing with computers led to East Lothian taking a leading role in various UK museum digitisation programmes, such as Scran and NOF-Digi, and taking collections and exhibtions to the web despite the limitations of staff and budget since 1998. Still playing, still learning.
