Rachel Horwitz has been a public school educator for the last twelve years and librarian for the last six. Her background includes both science and the arts. She has an undergraduate degree in art history and a graduate degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Turin, Italy. She taught biology and physical science at high school level.

She is currently working on her National Boards for Library/Information Science. She attended the 2006 Museums and the Web conference as the first recipient of the teacher scholarship. This led to her collaborating with Cathy Intemann to present at the fall conference of the New Mexico Council of Teachers of English. Rachel and Cathy then wrote an article for the upcoming issue of the NMCTE journal. Her experiences with Museums and the Web changed her views on how education will exist in the future

Rachel will present We Are Your Audience. [Mini-Workshop]
