Katrina leads the user experience discipline for Hot Studio, an award-winning human-centered design firm that partnered with SFMOMA on the research project presented in this paper. Katrina has led information architecture, user research, and content strategy efforts for the past eight years in projects ranging from online magazines to Flash demos to health-care applications. She has worked with SFMOMA, InformationWeek, Sun Microsystems, Charles Schwab, Blue Shield of California, Architecture for Humanity, the United Methodist Church, LeapFrog SchoolHouse, and Adobe. She is a frequent speaker at design conferences such as the Usability Professionals Association conference and the IA Summit. Katrina holds a master's degree in journalism and documentary filmmaking from the University of California at Berkeley.
