Betsy James DiSalvo is a Research Faculty member and Artist in Residence at the University of Pittsburgh Center for Learning in Out of School Environments. She has developed and consulted on technology based activities and games in virtual and mixed reality environments for the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh, the Andy Warhol Museum, Wood Street Gallery and other informal educational institutions. DiSalvo's research focuses on groups that are underrepresented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields and developing novel approaches to interesting them in STEM learning.
