Cathy Intemann has been a public school educator for thirty-three years. She has taught in Colorado, South Dakota, Oregon and New Mexico. She has worked as a Title One reading teacher, a teacher of the gifted and learning disabled. She is currently teaching seventh grade language arts and literature at a public middle school in Albuquerque, New Mexico She was National Board Certified in 2001 in Early Adolescent/ English and Language Arts. She has presented at various educator conferences including the International Reading Association Regional Conference in 2006, the New Mexico Council of Teachers of English conference for the past five years, and the New Mexico Council of Exceptional Children. She serves as the literacy leader at her school and on the board of the NM Council of Teachers of English. She does not know much about technology but she does know about teaching.
