J. América Loza-Llamas is a specialist on solid waist management both in laboratory and agriculture production, and is member of the academic group: natural resources management. Her research focus is on utilization of earth-worms for organic solid waste recycling and organic fertilizer production. She was the general coordinator of the studies that lead to the declaration of a new natural protected area "Nixticuil" during 2006. She is a professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Guadalajara, where is the head of the department and teaches at the biology undergraduate program the course "invertebrates" and "environmental education."
