Julie Springer is Coordinator of Teacher Programs at the National Gallery of Art. She is responsible for developing seminars and teaching materials that make the Gallery’s collections accessible to K-12 educators nationwide. In recent years she has been helping teachers explore visual art through multimedia technologies, beginning in 2001 with an initiative to build Web sites using the Gallery’s collections. In 2003, teachers created digital stories using works of art, and in 2006 they created image-enhanced podcasts.
