Sarah Winmill is Head of Information Systems Services at the The Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), Britain's national museum of art and design. Sarah relishes working in unusual environments, providing unique challenges. She has previously enjoyed the special challenges of the Royal Academy of Arts, Historic Royal Palaces (including HM Tower of London and Hampton Court Palace), and the Royal Albert Hall. Sarah's passion is in providing systems that are focused on the needs of the customer, rather than the latest technology fad. She has previously spoken at Museums and the Web and regularly talks about technology in the arts/heritage sector. Sarah's early career focused on ticket sales and retail systems before moving to data communications, specialising in networking unique buildings. She is a Chartered IT Professional, member of the British Computer Society, the IEEEs Communications and Computer Societies, and Communications Management Association. In her ‘spare' time she is completing a MSc in Networking and Data Communications
