Terry Makewell is the Technical Manager for the National Museums Online Learning Project. This project is a collaboration between 9 national museums and galleries. The overall remit of the project is to get the vast amount of content already on these national museum and gallery websites better used while investigating cross collection possibilities and serendipity.

Terry has been in the IT industry for over a decade with a strong foundation in Computer Science. Since early in his career he has had a Web focus and is particularly interested in how the Web can be used as both an engaging medium for users and a viable solution for organisations to fulfil business objectives. He has worked on Web solutions within international IT consulting, the educational sector in Ireland and online publishing with the largest publisher in the United Kingdom. He obtained an MBA in entrepreneurship in 2006.
