Eero Hyvönen (http://www.seco.tkk.fi/u/eahyvone/) is a professor of semantic media technology at the Helsinki University of Technology, Department of Media Technology, and a research director at the University of Helsinki, Department of Computer Science. He directs the Semantic Computing Research Group SeCo (http://www.seco.tkk.fi/) . Its activities currently focus on developing a semantic infrastructure in Finland (http://www.seco.tkk.fi/projects/finnonto/) web, including ontologies (http://www.seco.tkk.fi/ontologies/) , a national ontology library service (http://www.yso.fi/) and various Semantic Web applications in eCulture, eHealth, eLearning, eBusiness (http://www.seco.tkk.fi//finnonto/) .
