Dr. Gordon W. Paynter is a Technical Analyst for the Innovation Centre at the National Library of New Zealand and the Technical Architect for Digital New Zealand. He earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waikato in New Zealand, then worked for the New Zealand Digital Library Project and the University of California. His current projects centre on web archiving, institutional repositories, and newspaper digitization.
