The electronic gateway to Canada's rich cultural and natural heritage, the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN) works with member museums and partners to improve public access to the treasures of Canadian museums and value-added heritage resources on the Internet. For museums, libraries, schools, colleges and universities, communities and the tourism industry -- on-line visitors around the world -- this is the place to find the heritage information you are looking for. The Guide to Canadian Museums and Galleries introduces you to museums across the country, their collections, locations, services, and hours. Links to museums' home pages, special on-line exhibitions, and other sites let you tour the world's heritage. Heritage professionals find valuable resources to aid their work: an interactive journal titled Heritage Forum, in-depth reference information, training opportunities, consumer reports on collections management software, and other publications. CHIN is an agency of the federal Department of Canadian Heritage.
