John Eyre has a background in electronics and Computer Assisted Design (CAD) with special interests in digital imaging. For the past six years he has worked at De Montfort University, first as a CAD Systems Manager, then Courseware Group Manager, and currently as Senior Project Manager in the International Institute of Electronic Library Research (IIELR). He was technical coordinator for the Electronic Library Image Server for Europe I (ELISE I) project and now has special technical responsibility for all the projects within the IIELR.
