Leslie Johnston

Ms. Johnston is the New Media specialist for the Stanford University Museum of Art and the Art Department. She is the manager of networked information resources and multimedia projects, including technical supervision of and participation in production. Ms. Johnston is a specialist in imaging technology and information systems in museums and archives, and has participated in the creation and management of resources not only at Stanford, but at the Historic New Orleans Collection, the Getty Research Institute, and the Fowler Museum of Cultural History at UCLA. She has presented numerous papers and published articles on topics ranging from database production issues to digital imaging. Ms. Johnston has also served as the editor of the Visual Information column in Spectra since 1991. She has served on the Museum Computer Network Board of Directors since 1992, and is a past-president of that organization.
