Rebecca Reynolds Moore is a strategic marketing consultant and entrepreneur based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She earned her B.A. in art history from Smith College and her M.B.A. from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management focusing on nonprofit management and marketing. Previously she worked in public programs, marketing and fundraising at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American Art and Central Development Office. Since her graduate work, Ms. Moore was a Strategic Consultant and Director of Market Development for two Boston-based consulting firms providing marketing, research, and product development services to a wide range of organizations. In 1996 Ms. Moore founded her own consulting firm, Venture Forth, and has been providing services to the entertainment, publishing, high technology, and Internet industries while developing a new business venture: an collaborative commerce Web site for a consortium of museum stores. The new business is designed to enhance museums’ revenues while maximizing public outreach and cultural education via the Web. Ms. Moore is a member of the American Association of Museums, the Massachusetts Interactive Multimedia Council, the American Marketing Association, and Business for Social Responsibility. She has volunteered at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Library of Congress, and the Phillips Collection in Washington.
