Beth
>Sandore is the Coordinator for Imaging Projects and Associate Professor
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Library. Her professional
experience and research focus on technology development and evaluation
in libraries, including experimental work with image and multimedia
databases.
Her recent publications include a book
on technology and management in libraries, and the proceedings of the 1996
Digital Image Access and Retrieval Conference on experimental digital
image database development. Sandore is active in the American Library
Association,
and she is the co-chair of the Evaluation Working Group for the Museum
Educational Site Licensing Project. She has served in an advisory capacity
for a number of groups on imaging and technology evaluation projects,
including
the U. S. Department of Education, the U. S. Air Force, and the Oregon
Historical Society
