As someone who has worked in the cultural heritage information area for over twenty years, Jane Sledge understands the challenges of international collaboration from first hand experience.
As Assistant Director for Museum Services with the Canadian Heritage Information Network; as Collections Information System Administrator for the Smithsonian Institution; as Chief of the UNESCO-ICOM Museum Information Centre at the International Council of Museums in Paris; and now as Projects Manager with the Network Initiatives Section of the Getty Information Institute, she has participated in many leading edge museum technology projects both nationally and internationally. She participates in and follows the progress of the G7 Multimedia Access to World Cultural Heritage project, the European Union Memorandum of Understanding Working Groups on Interoperability and Intellectual Property Rights as well as the International Committee for Documentation (CIDOC).
