Session: Online Image Databases

This presentation will demonstrate the skills, tools, and methodology necessary to create a simple but powerful searchable online image database. Participants will learn how they can use an ODBC-compliant database program, HTML authoring software, image editing program, and Cold Fusion Markup Language (CFML) to design, produce, and serve their own image collections on the World Wide Web. This one-hour mini-workshop will demonstrate the production of an actual prototype online database, and attempt to demystify the process for web authors who have not yet progressed beyond basic HTML.
