Museofile gives permanent information of all museums of France with public collections. The access comes on the web for the public and on the intranet of the ministry of culture through-out the 22 régions. Museofile has a link with all the web sites of the museums or the website of the cities owning a museum. Since october 1998 Museofile has a link with the 120 000 pieces of art described in the data base Joconde, and has established a link with the data base of France-Telecom, iTi which calculates the distances and the price of a fuel of the trip you plan to do., and at the same time, it gives the information about the museums there are to see while travelling.
