Thimoty Barbieri is a student of Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, and he is currently working on his thesis about Cooperation in Virtual Reality worlds, in a project which started on early 1997. In the meantime, he runs his own company, ITECH Engineering, which is mainly active in consulting for heterogeneous networks, web solutions, technical writing, teaching and translations. Since 1992 he is consultant for an important Belgium-based computer graphics company, Barco Graphics, specializing in graphical digital prepress production systems. He is also very active in simultaneous interpreting.

Timothy has built his own portion of the Internet in his office, from which he tries to send his avatar in the real world on his behalf, whenever possible. He plays the flute when he needs to think.
