Carl DiSalvo

Carl Francis DiSavlo is an artist/designer/author from Minneapolis, Minnesota. From January 1998 to present he has worked with The Walker Art Center in the organization and production of "Shock of the View: Artists, Audiences, and Museums in the Digital Age": an online series of discussions and exhibitions.

In conjunction with "Shock of The View" he designed and authored a hyper-essay on virtual space as part of exhibition series on Space which also exhibited as one of the Walker Art Center's Gallery 9 featured artist's projects.

In addition to his work with The Walker Art Center he was commissioned by Leonardo Electronic Almanac in 1998 to contribute documentation of his recent work examining cultural theory through new media to the Leonardo Electronic Almanac and to write 2 exhibition essays for their 1998 online gallery series as well.

He also works as an interactive media designer for Bitstream Underground Inc., where his recent projects include collaborative development on the pArts website.
