Jim Swanson is the information services coordinator for the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies in Banff, Alberta (www.whyte.org). As Whyte Museum representative to the Canadian Heritage Information Network, he has participated in several federal internet initiatives. He has served in a number of volunteer capacities for Museums Alberta, the provincial museums' association, including as chair of their information management committee, and has published several articles about the internet and information management in the association's publications.
