Chuck Patch is Director of Systems at the Historic New Orleans Collection, a post he has held since 1991. Prior to this appointment, he worked as a systems operator and computer specialist at the same institution. The Historic New Orleans Collection, which combines a museum, rare book library and a manuscripts archive, operates a historical research center in New Orleans' French Quarter. The institution is free and open to the general public. During his tenure with the collection, he has been responsible for all aspects of automation, including collections management, office productivity, networking, public access and world wide web site development.
