Dr. John Chadwick joined Institute for Learning Innovation in Annapolis, MD as a research associate in February, 1999. Previously, he was Web Administrator and Distance Learning Coordinator for the Office of Cultural Affairs in Santa Fe, N.M. He had been affiliated with the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science in Albuquerque, NM., since 1989 as a contractor, systems analyst, and network administrator. He has a doctorate in educational technology from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque with a dissertation titled A Survey of Characteristics and Patterns of Behavior in Visitors to a Museum Web Site. Dr. Chadwick has published articles on the use of computers in museums and on the use of the Internet by museums and museum professionals. He has been a panelist and a session chair for technology sessions at American Association of Museums annual meetings as well as Visitor Studies Association conferences, and Museum Computer Network conferences. He started Museum-L, a cross-disciplinary e-mail discussion group in 1991. Dr. Chadwick has a BA in Journalism and an MA in educational technology, both from the University of New Mexico.
