Education: M.S. in Computer Science, Moscow Institute of Economics and Statistics, 1976. Position: Database Administrator and Software Developer, Anthropology Department, American Museum of Natural History. Job Description: I am in charge of designing, developing and maintaining the Anthropological Collection Management System, which holds information up to 300,000 artifacts, integrates digital images of objects and catalogs, keeps track about interactions between the Museum and over 1,000 organizations. The System has built in artifact tracking, resource management, and correspondence features that enables the department to facilitate, preserve, and study its collections. I am also responsible for dissemination of the collection data through the Web based on direct access to the departmental database. Software: Database development tools: Centura SQLWindows, SQLBase 7.0. Web Development tools: PowerDynamo, SQL Anywhere, JavaScript, Cold Fusion.
