Helmut Stemmer was a teacher of mathematics, natural science, and informatics in the higher general secondary schools from 1976 - 1984. Since 1984, he has been working for the Ministry of Education on the introduction of computers in schools. From 1989 to the present, he has served as Head of the Department of "Innovative Technologies in Education" and Austrian representative of the EENet group (European Expert's Network for Educational Technology).
