Jürgen Keiper studied Theater, Film and Media Sciences at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. After having received his master degree, he worked for five years as a lecturer at the Theater, Film and Media Sciences department of the University Frankfurt. Since 1997 he has worked for the German Film Institute (DIF). He is responsible for the management of several projects of the institute and the DIF’s external Internet representation. Additionally, he is the founder and editor of the scientific film journal FILM UND KRITIK, and has been both coordinator and participant of several conferences. His current research interests are in film style and film politics.
