Raimondo Schettini has been associated with the Italian National Research Council (CNR) since 1987. With 1994 he moved to the Institute of Multimedia Information Technologies, where he is currently in charge of the Image and Color Analysis Lab. He has been team leader in several research projects and published more than 110 refereed papers on image processing, analysis and reproduction, and on image content-based indexing and retrieval. Since 1997 he also teaches a course on multimedia design at the Faculty of Industrial Design of Politecnico di Milano. He is member of the Technical Committee 8-03 On Gamut Mapping, Division 8 (Image Technology) of the Commision Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE). He has been General Co-Chairman of the 1st Workshop on Image and Video Content-based Retrieval (1998), and general co-chair of the first and second EI Internet Imaging Conferences. He is general-co-chair of the First European Conference on Color in Graphics, Image and Vision (CGIV'2002) and of Third EI Internet Imaging Conference (2002).
