Christian Feichtner gained his degree in Computer Science at the technical University of Linz. He has worked as a consultant for eBusiness and Web technologies for a few years, after which he has developed a mobile portal solution using state of the art WAP and Web technologies as well as other WAP services for an mobile telephony service provider in Austria. He has written one of the first complete guides to the Internet for non-experts (published 1995-2001), which has been also published in printed form in Austria (1997). Recently he has published two articles on the future of WAP in Austrian Computing and Internet magazines. He joined the Program and System Engineering Department of Siemens in 2000 and is working on research projects for mobile network evolution covering application layer aspects (Mobile applications and services, Web and WAP convergence).
