Workshop: Handhelds

This workshop examines the range of applications for handheld appliances in museums, providing case studies and separating the fanciful from the practical. In addition to surveying the range of current technology and suppliers, the workshop examines the applied context of these technologies and looks at the delicate relationship between exhibit, visitor, content and handheld device. The emphasis will be on current programs that any museum can apply now as well as programs that will come of age in the next one to three years.
