"Entwined with Life: Native American Basketry," an exhibit at the Burke Museum from October 25, 2000 through May 6, 2001, featuring over 500 baskets from the Burke Museum's permanent collection and 60 baskets loaned by contemporary weavers. It received the 1st annual Charles Redd Center for Western Studies Award for Exhibition Excellence from the Western Museums Association in 2001. This exhibit has been developed as an interactive web site linked to the Burke Museum's ARGUS collection database. Browsers can experience a recreation of the exhibit complete with images of the baskets with label copy, play a basket identification game, or search the Burke Museum's (5,000+) Native American basketry collection on-line.
