Matthew Nickerson holds post secondary degrees in biochemistry, theater arts and library science. He is currently the Special Projects Librarian at the Gerald R. Sherratt Library, Southern Utah University (SUU). His on-line search and retrieval system for manuscript, photograph and artifact collections at SUU was featured in a 1999 publication, Innovative Use of Information Technology by Colleges, released by the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR). He is Project Director for "Voices of the Colorado Plateau" a project funded by IMLS to create on-line multimedia web exhibits featuring narration from oral history collections from eight cooperating museums/libraries. Areas of continuing research interest include digital libraries, streaming media for Internet instruction, and Victorian book design.
